Hosted at the prestigious location of Sluzewiec Racetrack, The Wall is Warsaw's first hip-hop festival and a standout event of the Polish urban culture, thanks to its striking, diverse programming.
Festival's first edition kicked off in the early morning hours with the Street Market fair - showcasing over 50 local streetwear brands and independent music labels. Daytime visitors could catch performances from young, up and coming rappers at a handful of mini label showcases happening throughout the day. Fans were also invited to join a number of panels and talks with some of the festival's musical headliners (incl. JWP, Bisz, Molesta)
Simultaneously, across Europe's longest, legal graffiti wall surrounding the racetrack, Polish and international artists have taken part in the biggest Eastern European graffiti jam, concluded with an evening screening of the film "Hit The Road. Warsaw Part".
The festival's main stage hosted an exciting line-up of Poland's biggest hip-hop acts - including Molesta, Zeus, Quebonafide, Ten Typ Mes, Rasmentalism and Hemp Gru.
The night wrapped up with a remarkable concert, celebrating Molesta's legendary debut "Skandal", where several dozen rappers and DJs, representing a variety of styles and generations of Polish hip-hop, performed new renditions of tracks from the renowned album. The new arrangements were composed and performed live by Night Marks Electric Trio.
As part of this unique project, four of the cover tracks featuring the likes of Sokół, PRO8L3M, Małpa, Ten Typ Mes and Quebonafide, were recorded in the studio and released on a limited edition vinyl.
