The Returners are a DJ/production duo consisting of Little and DJ Chwiał, who first made their mark on the scene with the "Demo" EP and their frequent collaborations with rapper Małpa. In 2007 they officially debuted with the vinyl-only single "Different Places, One Hip-Hop" released on Asfalt Records. They worked with a number of international rappers, including Doujah Raze and Bekay. Shortly after, they collaborated with the legendary hip-hop group Molesta Ewenement and O.S.T.R., together with whom they also worked on the unreleased project Beat Brothers.
They released two albums with the American rapper El Da Sensei ("Global Takeover" & "GT2: Nu World") and an EP with Canadian duo Twin Peaks / Muneshine & Ghettosocks ("Mount Crushmore"). Locally, they worked with Eldo ("Zapiski 1001 Nocy"), put out two albums with rapper Diox ("Logika Gry", "Backstage") and produced allmost all of Gruby Mielzky's records ("SJNWJZ", "1.5", "Komik z depresją", "Do Wesela Się Zagoi"). Beside that The Returners collaborated on countless tracks with Pezet & Małolat, O.S.T.R., Małpa, Donguralesko, Pyskaty, Chada, Pih and Rasco.
Their first studio album "Nowa Stara Szkoła", released as The Returners, came out in 2016 and featured the top Polish rappers and followed by the production duo's guest appearances on albums by such artists like Małpa, Paluch, Donguralesko, Quebonafide, Kuban, Dwa Sławy, Grubson, WSRH and many others.
In 2017, the limited EP "Rottenberg" was released, recorded spontaneously together with Małpa and Mielzky. The latter artist released his new studio longplay "Komik z depression" after a year, produced entirely by The Returners. The story will repeat itself in March 2021, when Mielzky's studio comeback "Do Wesela Się Zagoi" hit the market. Also on this LP Chwiał and Little done all of the music and scratches.
The Returners' signature style is full of nods to classic, boom bap sounds but the group's ever-evolving creative approach is not shy of introducing elements of contemporary, emerging genres.
